Loki the Wolfdog

Mercedes-Benz, Razorfish and Loki the Wolfdog (1MM Instagram followers) partnered for a 360-degree virtual reality, mobile experience, allowing fans of Loki and auto enthusiasts to overlap and a journey that told the story of Mercedes' new GLS SUV, Loki and his owner, as well as the luxury lifestyle available at the MB partner hotel, The Four Seasons Vail.

Taking advantage of the recently added 360-degree virtual reality functionality on these platforms, Mercedes allowed their audience to experience a two-minute film with Loki's owner, Kelly Lund, narrating a voiceover over footage of a Mercedes 2017 GLS. Audiences went along for the ride, somewhere between figuratively and literally, traveling as virtual reality passengers through the snow blanketed landscapes of Crested Butte and Vail, Colorado.

Results

The video garnered a total 19MM views, 70,000 new social follows and drove 1.2MM visitors to the GLS product page as a result.
