The Mercedes-Benz PGA Throwdown

In the lead-up to the 2016 PGA Championship we brought together champion golfer Rickie Fowler and Anthony Anderson, star of ABC’s Blackish, to square off in a golf match for the ages. Bill Macatee and Davis Love III showed up to call the action in a setting worthy of the occasion: a treacherous three-hole mini golf course in the Mercedes-Benz Brand Center on the grounds at storied Baltusrol Golf Club.   

Pulling this off was no small feat; the opportunity came to us with less than a week’s notice, and we had less than an hour of access to our talent access on the day of the shoot. The Razorfish Connected Content Studio team hustled to write, shoot and edit this short film in the span of 48 hours.  The result: an irresistibly sharable piece of content that really resonated with golf fans and the Mercedes-Benz audience. The over 1M views and3k likes clearly show the value of an agile approach to content creation.
